Ammonite

£25.00Price

With squidlike tentacles extending from multichambered shells, the ammonites were one of the most diverse animals on Earth.  Dating back to the Devonian era (416 million years ago),  the ammonites evolved into 10,000 species ranging in size from 1cm to more than 2.5m. After 350 million years the ammonites eventually became extinct in the same event as the dinosaurs.

Material

The ammonite is made from polyurethane resin and has been finished with metallic paints to give a lustrous finish. Each ammonite is hand painted and will therefore be slighty different from the image shown. Different colours are available.
